A former US distributor for Austrian manufacturer Hartl Crushtek GmbH, Johann Schmidt, now owner and president of the new Georgia-based Hartl Crushtek New Technologies, took immediate action to buy the equipment manufacturer when its owners filed bankruptcy. That was over three years ago. Schmidt's passion for his work embodies all that we love about the entrepreneurial spirit.Already well-known and respected in the construction and demolition industries, Crushtek manufactures and distributes mobile crushing, screening, and sorting equipment that processes any type of solid debris; easily turning it into recyclable materials. They were a key supplier of machinery for the largest concrete recycling project in the world—the deconstruction of the former Stapleton Airport in Colorado.
